Since 1975, the Parent Information Center has provided information, training and support to families who have a child with a disability so that they may participate effectively as team members in Family Centered Early Supports and Services and the Special Education process. PIC on Special Education collaborates with families, youth, schools, agencies and community members throughout the state. Our vision is that all children and youth with disabilities will have successful learning and educational experiences that will prepare them to be actively involved in the community as adults.
PIC Staff are not attorneys and do not give legal advice, we do offer information on educational laws, regulations and best practices. This support is designed to assist parents in making informed decisions for their children.
