Community Resources for Your Family

Federal, state, and local community organizations are available to support English learners and their families. You can ask your school about resources that are available in your community.

United States Resources

The United States provides food benefits to families who qualify. For more information click here.

The United States provides free or reduced cost school lunches for students who qualify. Some schools offer breakfast. Contact your child’s school to see if you qualify. National School Lunch Program is a federally assisted meal program established under the National School Lunch Act. For more information click here.

New Hampshire State Resources

The public library is a free community resource. Libraries offer events like storytime and activities for children as well as classes for adults. If you get a free library card, you can borrow books in person or electronic books online. Your library may have other items to borrow such as movies, games or household items. Many libraries have quiet spaces to study as well as access to computers, internet, photocopiers and printers. Click here to find your local library.
