Donating to the Parent Information Center

Research shows that partnerships between families and schools are key to our children’s school success! The Parent Information Center (PIC) is dedicated to empowering families, schools and communities to work together on behalf of every child and their education. Your willingness to give to PIC enables us to grow and thereby impact more families, schools, and most importantly the unique learning potential of every child, including children with disabilities.
October is Parent Involvement in Education Month. PIC worked with families, educators, community leaders and policy makers to have October proclaimed by the Governor as Parent Involvement in Education Month. Individuals and teams across NH were nominated because of their outstanding accomplishments with parent-school partnerships and were celebrated on October 1st along with local and state officials and those that nominated them.
One of the nominations came from Ann and Matt, parents of 3 young children. They wanted to recognize the team of educators and specialists from their son’s school who have worked so well with them, saying, “The [team] has really responded in a very positive manner and we have managed to work in a collaborative manner with a common goal. Matt and Ann have attended PIC workshops and training series and now volunteer to assist other parents, also wrote to PIC, “The PIC team is doing very important work and you need to hear that.”
PIC staff and volunteers provided direct services to more than 10,000 families and presented workshops to more than 8,000 families and professionals. Information was also distributed to tens of thousands of people through print, newsletter and on-line modalities. This couldn’t happen without the support of generous people like you!
